ISLAMABAD: Three-day workshop on ‘Corrosion and its Prevention’ is being held from November 28 at National Institute of Vacuum Science and Technology (NINVAST), NCP Complex Islamabad.
The workshop is aimed to provide an avenue to corrosion practitioners, designers, technical managers, inspection and maintenance engineers, quality control personnel and those involved in failure analysis to update their appreciation of corrosion and awareness of emerging technologies for corrosion control and prevention.
The workshop intends to focus the concerns of public safety, damage to property and national assets so as to save billions of rupees.
The workshop would enable beginners to establish a solid foundation in corrosion before moving on to advanced topics. Exercises, hands-on practical sessions and experiments throughout the course will help participants to understand the basic concepts and fundamentals important to corrosion.
Dr Hafeez R Hoorani Director General of NCP will be chief guest in the inaugural session to be held at 8.30 at NINVAST NCP while the closing ceremony will held on November 30 at 1430 which will be chaired by Ejaz Ahmed Mukhtar Chairman KRL.
Scientists and Engineers from various educational and R&D institutions will participate in the workshop.
